When Senior Project came around and I was trying to think of what I wanted to make for it, how I wanted to show what I learned over the past four years, I looked in myself for answers. I found that my love of music was a great starting point.
From there, I decided to work on a project based on what I see with so many artists these days. They announce a project, singles, physical versions, and they have a social media and awards campaigns. That's something I wanted to try and replicate with my project.
I conceptualized an artist persona and idea of this album and made this project around that, and these are my results.
Branding
I established the logos shown in these physical versions early on. The creation of these elements was in Adobe Illustrator, where they could be exported as vector graphics to be resized and put on any element without loss in quality.
Printing
Finalizing the physical edition's prints was a bit of a process, but once I had gotten the colors to pop, then it was smooth sailing from there.
Digital Media Mockups
Making these physical goods wasn't the only part of the project, of course. My goal was to make digital assets that would be used in a real album rollout, like digital single covers and Instagram posts.
As you can see, I did not opt for free downloadable mockups from the internet, instead taking my own screenshots from my phone and editing them by hand within Adobe Photoshop. This comprised of quite a bit of font and color matching, content-aware tool usage to remove unneeded elements, as well as the lasso tool to remove large sections of an image.
Promotional Video
One of the final things created for the project was a short promotional video to have playing on a loop during the Senior Showcase event. It was shot at the same time as the photos used in the Instagram posts, as well as the photo used in the promotional awards poster.

View More of the Process!
Some of the images used on this page are excerpts from my production booklet, a 29-page showcase of the process behind creating the digital and physical goods for this project. While I have shown a good portion of it here, the booklet goes more in-depth.
